2009 GB Coaches Seminar
On Sunday 8th March there will be a series of seminars nationwide across the country given by GB Rowing Coaches.
The theme will be British Rowing Technique and coaching methods and the day will involve a seminar by GB squad coaches followed by the opportunity to try out some of the methods discussed on the water and on the ergo with the GB Coaches and ARA Coach Educators on hand.
The session will run in the afternoon from approx 13.30 to 16.30 and there will be a charge of £5 per person attending. All coaches wishing to attend must fill out and return the attached application form to Phil Simmons.
The venue for the Lower Thames will be Molesey Boat Club.

Any club coach can attend and we are hoping to have many along on the day to increase the knowledge in the Thames Region's Club Coaches and therefore the standard of coaching and rowing we see coming out of all clubs.
The coaches we have for the day are Pete Sheppard and Neasa Folan.
- Pete Sheppard is the GB Head Coach for the European Champs Team, The U 23 Team and the Junior Team. Shep was also a coach at the Beijing Olympic games for the Men’s Heavyweight team
- Neasa Folan has been a coach with GB’s World Class Start since September 2008 and prior to that was coach to the Irish Junior team
