TRRC SUPPORT FOR RYA POWERBOAT TRAINING

The TRRC have been working closely with the Port of London Authority and the Environment Agency to identify ways to encourage safe, consistent and courteous behaviour from crews and coaches on the river Thames.RYA logo

The council believes that training plays an important part in spreading good practice and supports the qualification of competent launch drivers to RYA national powerboat course, level 2.

The TRRC will therefore reimburse up to 50% of the course costs for individuals nominated by rowing clubs in the region - including university and school clubs.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

Funding is offered to individuals based in the Thames region, who regualrly drive powered launches on behalf of their club; either in a coaching or safety capactiy, or who drive at headraces or regattas. Clubs may nominate up to two individuals per launch for the subsidy, however, only one individual from each club may apply at a time.
