Community Club Development Programme
The CCDP is an innovative collaboration between the Government, Sport England and sports governing bodies aimed at improving facilities. The Programme targets facilities at Community Sports Clubs.
Full details of the Programme are available on the Sport England website.
The ARA is hopeful that it will receive further funding through this Programme. Some of this is being used for the "Project Oarsome Xtra" initiative which is providing equipment to clubs for 15 - 18 year olds. However, the ARA is also working with Regional Rowing Councils to identify suitable projects in open clubs which might receve funding. Funding will only be made available for specific projects which will increase participation in sport, and the Programme prioritises projects which target deprived areas or groups which are currently under-represented in sport.
If you believe that you have a suitable project then please contact your CDO who will be able to give you more advice on eligibility. You will be asked to complete an initial interest form in conjunction with the CDO - a copy of this form is available here for reference only (i.e. please do not complete this form - contact your CDO first).
Unfortunately the sport of rowing is only receiving a very limited fund under the Programme so please note that not every club which completes the initial interest form will be offered funding.
