Tideway Buoy Update

Following considerable feed back to the RWSA about the location of the Milepost Surrey Fairway Marker Buoy it is scheduled to be moved out some 15 m into the stream.

This change should enable an VIII to pass on the inside at very low tide, which at present is not possible. The move will also increase separation distance.

It has been noted that some crews and coaches appear not to realise that on the ebb down stream they must pass as close to these buoys as is safe and practicable, however, hopefully this move will help, as the original position of the buoy is too close the bank.
