ARA Volunteer of the Year Awards 2008

The TRRC is looking for nominations for volunteers from within the region for the 2008 ARA Volunteer of the Year awards.

The ARA will make a National Award from the regional winners of the following categories:

• Open Club Sector- a volunteer from an open club.
• Higher Education Sector- a volunteer from a university or college club. Not necessarily a student.
• Junior Sector- a volunteer working with juniors. Applicants can be from any club working with juniors
• Junior Volunteer (U18)- Any volunteer working within the sport of rowing aged 18 or under.

All nominations must be made on the official form (see attached) and should be returned to the ARA, marked for the attention of Rory Semple/ARA Volunteer of the Year Awards, no later than 29 February 2008. All sections on the form must be completed.

Regions will decide on the winners in each category and from these an overall regional winner. All regional category winners will receive a certificate of national recognition for their contribution. The overall regional winner and regional junior volunteer category winner will then go forward for consideration in the 2 national awards.
