Winter Lock Closure list
River Thames river and Lock Closures for winter 2006/2007
The following locks will be closed to use by all vessels between the inclusive dates shown below. If you have any specific concerns about these changes, please contact your local Waterways office.
Days | 1 November 2006 to 4 April 2007 | Lock wall and walkway refurbishment |
Mapledurham | 12 February 2007 to 23 March 2007 | New pedestrian footbridge and repairs to tail bullnoses |
Bray | 1 November 2006 to 16 March 2007 | Head bank protection and extension to head layby Improvements to tail layby and canoe portage |
Days lock will be completely closed throughout the closure period specified.
There may be potential for weekend passage for business and maintenance related journeys at the others.
